EETT-Competitive Round 7
On February 29, the California Department of Education (CDE) posted the Request for Applications (RFA) for the $15 million federal Enhancing Education Through Technology Competitive (EETT-C) grant program. The primary purpose of this EETT-C program is to improve student academic achievement in grades 4-8 through the use of technology. EETT-C is a competitive grant process; LEAs must complete an application which is scored and ranked against other applicants in the region. The top scoring applications will be funded.
Update 3/24/08
The CDE has posted a minor revision to Form 3. Consistent with the information presented at the rollout meeting, the new Form 3 clarifies that the district is measuring an increase in percentage points, rather than a percentage increase. Download the updated Form 3 from the CDE's EETT website.
The CDE has also provided some guidance on using EdTechProfile to calculate teacher and student proficiency levels using the four point response items in both the Student Survey and the Teacher Tech Assessment Profile. EdTechProfile maps 4 point teacher responses to the aggregate proficiency charts. Districts that choose to use the aggregate teacher proficiency charts instead of individual survey questions can calculate the average proficiency levels using the methods described in this data calculation document.
