Camp CTAP Intermediate Strand

Participants will create student exemplars, templates, and various lesson-based multimedia products focused on content standards and adopted materials. Participants will use Microsoft Office®, Inspiration® software, and the Internet to integrate technology into their adopted materials and lessons to differentiate instruction for all students.

Participants will design and develop an integrated package of artifacts that include teacher-led as well as student activity templates and exemplars to use to support their adopted materials and pacing guides. Participants will improve their knowledge of Internet searching, information literacy and copyright information. Participants will use educational technological resources to address student learning needs through differentiation and scaffolding. Participants use technology tools and research-based strategies to develop and design lessons and/or materials for classroom use.

This training partially satisfies Standard 9 requirements from the California Commission on teacher Credentialing.

Outcomes

  1. Plan for the classroom use of technology to support curriculum content or grade-level standards.
  2. Use California Content Standards and technology tools such as Microsoft Office® Suite to create a multimedia presentation that includes a teacher direct teaching presentation, student exemplar, and/ or student templates.
  3. To create an online list of Internet resources relating to curriculum.
  4. Use graphic organizing software (Inspiration) to create a diagram or outline.

Time frame

This training consists of 4 days of professional development for participants. 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM daily.

Audience

  • Teachers with intermediate technology skills.
  • Proficiency based on Ed Tech Profile self-assessment.

$500 per participant or $1,600 for a team of four participants
