On February 29, the California Department of Education (CDE) posted the Request for Applications for the $15 million federal Enhancing Education Through Technology Competitive (EETT-C) grant program. Fifty school districts and direct-funded charters in CTAP Region 10 are potentially eligible to apply for funding through this No Child Left Behind Federal program; districts must have a current, state-approved technology plan in order to receive funding.
The competitive portion of the EETT-C program is based on a regional allocation, with $2,177,149 available for the successful districts in CTAP Region 10. Districts must send their completed application to the Education Technology Office of the CDE in Sacramento by Wednesday, April 23, 2008. The applications will be read and scored in May, with notification and awards sent in August.
